Congratulations to S-E varsity sports programs that earned Scholar-Athlete Team Awards from the New York State Public High School Athletic Association for the 2023-2024 Winter Sports season!

To qualify for this award, 75-percent of a varsity team must combine for an academic average of at least 90 during a sports season. S-E Winter varsity programs that achieved this were girls basketball, swimming, boys indoor track and field, and girls indoor track and field.

The NYSPHSAA also recognizes individuals as scholar-athletes for maintaining an academic average of 90 or better during a sports season. Forty-one S-E varsity players earned individual NYSPHSAA Scholar-Athlete honors this winter – boys basketball (7), girls basketball (6), bowling (2), cheerleading (2), swimming (7), boys indoor track and field (6), girls indoor track and field (4), volleyball (5), and wrestling (2).
