Congratulations to our High School Band for earning a rating of “Excellent” on May 18 at the Music In The Parks festival in Hershey, Pennsylvania!

SEHS Band Director James Behret and his students performed for two MITP judges in a ratings-only presentation (non-competitive) at Hershey High School. S-E’s rating fell within the 80-89 range (based on a 0-100 scale) for the “Excellent” rating, which is second only to “Superior” (90-100) among MITP awards.

MITP judges are university professors known as specialists in their fields as both educators and performers. Their evaluations provide valuable feedback to high school bands, orchestras and choirs from all over the U.S. and Canada.

The kids had even more fun later as they spent the afternoon at Hershey Park. Great job, S-E!
