We are thrilled to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our Odyssey of the Mind teams! This season has been a true showcase of innovation, teamwork, and creative problem-solving.

At the New York State Odyssey of the Mind Championships on April 5, two of our teams placed in the Top 10 in the state – a remarkable accomplishment that reflects their dedication and ingenuity. Our other two state teams outperformed their competition in key areas.

A huge congratulations to our Middle School team, led by Coach Heidi Johnson, for receiving the Ranatra Fusca Award. Our MS team was one of only two teams out of more than 200 at states to earn this distinction, which is the highest honor in Odyssey of the Mind as it recognizes exceptional creativity and risk-taking in problem-solving.

We are incredibly proud to announce that Team Johnson will represent SECSD and New York State at the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals in late May! Please join us in celebrating this extraordinary accomplishment and wishing our team the very best as they prepare to take the world stage.
