SEES holds Memorial Day event

Sherburne-Earlville Elementary School welcomed special guests from the Sherburne American Legion Family Post 876 for its annual Memorial Day service Thursday morning, May 23.

Sherburne-Earlville Elementary School welcomed special guests from the Sherburne American Legion Family Post 876 for its annual Memorial Day service Thursday morning, May 23.

Retired Sr. Master Sergeant Holly Crouch, an SEES Special Education teacher, and others represented the Legion during the ceremony.

SEES Science/Social Studies Teacher Frank Busce and Sherburne-Earlville High School senior Adam Aldrich played Taps while the American flag in the courtyard waved in the blue sky.

The SEES student body sang patriotic songs, and fifth-graders shared the history of the day with everyone in attendance.
