SEES comes together for Memorial Day

Sherburne-Earlville Elementary School honored those who died while serving in the U.S. military with a Memorial Day ceremony Friday morning.

SEES band members performed during the school-wide event, which featured a student presentation and a flag-raising inside the traffic circle.

School will be closed Monday in observance of Memorial Day. Students and staff will return to school Tuesday for a full day of in-person instruction.

SECSD reminds the community that the following local Memorial Day events are scheduled for Monday, May 30:

• Smyrna Parade, 9 a.m.
• Earlville Parade, 9:45 a.m.
• Sherburne Parade, 11 a.m.
• American Legion Ceremony, noon
