Congratulations to SEVEN Sherburne-Earlville High School students who placed during the Chenango Arts Council’s 2021 Chenango Area Student Art Show!

Three of our seven honorees placed first in their respective categories: Junior Isaac Garner’s “Yellow Submarine” took first in drawing; senior Raven Rivenburgh’s “Notorious RBG” won in mixed media; and sophomore Trinity Thornton’s “Mixed Emotions” topped the photography entries.

Our Marauders actually swept the top three photography awards as junior Taylor Jennings took second with “Hidden Beauty,” and sophomore Donald Mercer received an honorable mention for “god complex.pny.”

Isaac also had a second-place finish in mixed media with “Edgar Allan Poe,” as did Raven in 3D sculpture with “Shrimp Cocktail.”
Junior Taylor Homann and senior Lillie Ashton rounded out S-E’s awards with a second (“Casey”) and an honorable mention (“Troy”), respectively, in painting.

The 2021 CASA Show was on display from April 13-30 in the Martin W. Kappel Gallery and online (click here).
