Sherburne-Earlville thanks EVERYONE in our #SEFamily who visited campus for our Fall Sports parade October 24 and our Friday night home football game October 25!
All SECSD classes and teams – including those in youth sports programs – were invited to walk in the parade down Classic Street to our renovated stadium, where we celebrated our Fall Sports programs and the grand opening of our new turf field! A brief ceremony featuring a performance by S-E cheerleaders and remarks from team spokespersons and SECSD Superintendent Robert Berson followed the parade. The evening concluded with a bonfire from 7:00-9:00 p.m.
On Friday, our Timberwolves varsity football team hosted Altmar-Parish-Willamstown in the first varsity game on S-E’s new turf field. The regular-season finale followed a Senior Night ceremony for our senior football players and cheerleaders.
“We are thankful for all of the contractors and community members who made it possible for us to open the new turf field before the end of the Fall Sports season,” Berson said. “We’re close to a full month ahead of schedule with our stadium renovations, so this was a real team effort. This is just the first part in Phase 2 of our Capital Project improvements; there’s a lot more to come!”
