Sherburne-Earlville CSD is seeking a Special Patrol Officer (SPO-Schools) to maintain and provide security within the district. This opening has an immediate start date and a hire rate of $32.12 per hour.
Persons employed in this class shall have all the powers of a peace officer, as set forth in section 2.20 of Criminal Procedure Law, when performing the duties of protecting property of persons on such premises. The work is performed under general supervision of the Sheriff. The incumbent does related work as required.
Candidates must be a retired member of a police/sheriff's office or division of state police, or a retired corrections, parole or probation officer to meet the minimum requirements of this position.
Possession of a valid New York State driver’s license at the time of appointment and maintenance of said license for the duration of appointment is a special requirement.
