Dear Parents and Caregivers:
We are thankful for the school-home partnerships that have been established as we have navigated Blended, Virtual, and In-person learning models over the past two months. We have learned, living through the pandemic, that we must prepare for circumstances to change at a moment’s notice. Although our regional positive test cases are trending down, it is best to prepare for scenarios in which the district’s learning model is forced to change to a fully virtual. Furthermore, the district continues to assess the effectiveness of our learning models and you will have the opportunity to provide feedback below.
The district is scheduling two “Fully Virtual Days” on the following dates:
Monday, November 23, 2020
Tuesday, November 24, 2020
Please note, detailed information, including schedules and expectations, will be forthcoming from each Building Principal this week.
Our success will be determined by our ability to share ideas in a thoughtful and transparent manner. I am happy to introduce to the Sherburne-Earlville community, Thought Exchange.
Sherburne-Earlville is committed to increasing collaboration and connectivity with all stakeholders. Thought Exchange is a new platform to establish increased communication throughout our organization and school community. Thought Exchange is completely anonymous and empowers participants to have a voice at Sherburne-Earlville.
I invite you to click this link to join the S-E Thought Exchange
. The exchange will be open through Friday November 13, 2020 and you are encouraged to go back in before it ends to share and rate additional ideas. This information will be used to inform district action steps moving forward. Our collaborative effort between school-home has enabled Sherburne-Earlville to overcome the reopening challenges and continues to assist us as we partner together.
