Agriculture Makes a Comeback at SE

Chairs made by 2017 Ag students for Colgate University

Students have been busy with hands-on activities that include experimenting with winter cover crops, building composters, installing 100 taps, building Adirondack chairs for Colgate University and completing a small engine project. Guest speakers have added to the relevance of this course, giving students their perspective on family farming, current practices, diversification on the farm, raising hogs, rotational grazing and the agriculture industry in the Midwest. Both community support and the tireless efforts of Mr. Bugbee have helped build success within this program. Be on the lookout for increased course offerings in the Fall of 2017!
